The Courage to Rebrand
Rebranding & Renaming an Established Company
Courant, formerly known as Rent-a-Nerd Technology Solutions, was a product of the 90s and began as many tech companies started — out of a home garage. Fast-forward 25 years. The company’s services evolved from B2-Everything to B2B only, and the concept of “rent” or “temporary” is no longer in the business model, and customers are considered long-term partners.
The company’s brand problem was two-fold: The name no longer represented services offered, and “Rent-a-Nerd” was a total new-business turnoff. Existing clients were hesitant to refer the company just because of the brand. Also impacted were new business efforts — the brand was turning potential clients away!
Renaming and rebranding was a tricky business decision, but the partners listened to their customers and knew it was a significant investment necessary to grow to the next level.
After months of research, strategy and development,
Courant was born, and the company never looked back.
